Technical Specifications
The Alen Paralda Dual Airflow Purifier comes with an ionizer and a HEPA-Silver filter that tackles allergens, dust, mold, odors, and bacteria in the air. However, customers are given the option to purchase separate filters that specialize against different sets of air pollutants. These other filters are HEPA-Pure (for dust and allergens only), HEPA-Fresh (For particles, kitchen odors, and chemicals), and HEPA-OdorCell (for particles, pets, and diaper odors). Its CADR ratings for dust, pollen, and smoke are 107, 114, and 97, respectively, and the Paralda was designed for use inside rooms up to 500 sq. ft. It features four speed options, maximum power consumption of 56W, and a noise output range of 37.5 to 60 dB.

Performance
The ozone-safe Silver-Ion Technology bannered by the Alen Paralda charges airborne particles and impurities, making them clump together into bigger chunks. This accomplishes either one of two things: (1) the clumps of particle pollutants are now heavier, therefore causing them to settle on surfaces instead of staying afloat, or (2) the clumps of particle pollutants have taken a larger form, which makes it a lot easier for the HEPA filter to trap them.
The ionizer also helps neutralize smoke and odors to give you a fresher-smelling home. What’s more, the HEPA-Silver fibers inside the Paralda are antimicrobial treated, and this inhibits the growth of bacteria, mold, and viruses on the filter.
This lineup of purifying technologies sounds great. However, what we noticed right off the bat is that its CADR ratings aren’t what we would consider impressive, given that this model advertised for use in large rooms. This may be due to the fact that at the end of the day, its HEPA-Silver filter (and any of the other filter options, really) isn’t a True HEPA filter.
Moving on, Alen clearly takes pride in the Paralda’s dual airflow system. Basically, this air purifier will release purified air both from its front-facing and rear-facing vents, which helps circulate fresh air all around the room. This also helps it deliver higher circulating efficiency than other tower-type models.
Features
The Alen Paralda has a filter replacement indicator and four speed options that make it more user-friendly. It also has an auto shut-off timer that helps it become even more energy-efficient than it already is. If you’re planning to use it inside your bedroom at night, you’ll also be pleased to know that it has a lights on/off button which enables you to dim the control panel lights as you please.
Design
This purifying device features a sleek and modern design that’s bound to receive some admiration. Its white exterior looks smooth and stylish, and it can certainly bring a bit more life to a dull corner in your house. Since the air purifier measures only 22 x 10 x 6 inches, it shouldn’t occupy too much space.
This air purifier also integrates an LCD display with convenient touch-sensitive controls, ultimately leading to an intuitive user interface. Maintaining the air purifier is also very simple. In fact, Alen claims that changing the filters should take only five seconds. We’re not so sure about this claim, but based on its design, it’s definitely less intimidating than other air purifiers.
Warranty and Support
Alen convinces consumers of the Paralda’s reliability by offering a lifetime limited warranty, which is an obvious pro. It also doesn’t hurt that Alen has well-regarded customer service, being one of the most popular air purifier manufacturers in the US.
Final Thoughts
While it’s true that there are other better-performing models out there, it does not mean that the Alen Paralda Dual Airflow is not an air purifier that’s worth your attention. Designed with attention to detail, it boasts an appealing aesthetic that makes it a great addition to any modern home. Since it features HEPA filtration, an ionizer, and an antimicrobial coating, it should perform well enough for the average homeowner who isn’t too concerned with allergens and asthma triggers.

What coverage does it have?
The Alen Paralda Dual Airflow model can effectively purify the air in rooms that span up to 500 square feet.
Can you please tell me how much noise it produces on each setting?
On the lowest speed setting, it produces 37.5 dB. On the second speed setting, it produces 40.5 dB. When it’s set on the third speed setting, it will produce 51 dB, while on the fastest speed setting it produces 60 dB.
Since I have it, I can say that the air feels a lot fresher and cleaner, so the product is definitely worth the money that I have spent on it.
I have an Alen Paralda myself, and it has served me well up to this point. The only thing that I don’t like about it is the fact that the filter needs to be replaced once every 6 months, which is bad when you compare it to other models that come at more expensive prices.
I use the purifier in the bedroom as both me and my wife have allergy related problems. We haven’t had any issues since using it and it has helped us sleep a lot better. It’s surely worth the attention, that’s all I can say about it.
Does it let me adjust its operational speed as I like?
This ai purification device puts 4 different speed levels at your disposal to choose between. This means that you can, at any point you like, to change its operational speed to a higher or lower level that you see better deemed for that specific situation.
Is it effective at removing mold spores?
Due to the HEPA-Silver fibers that it features, not only does it remove the existing mold spores from the air, making it safe for you to breathe it, but it prevents them from ever linger in the air as well.
