The air you breathe is important for your health and an air purifier can significantly improve the quality of the air you breathe indoors and keep you away from allergies, asthma, and other respiratory problems. The Honeywell HPA 300 air purifier consists of a HEPA Allergen Remover filter which makes it the number one choice for the ultimate type of filtration of airborne allergens in a room.

While the carbon pre-filter captures common household odors, up to 99.97% of airborne particles and allergens as small as 0.3 microns from the air are passed through the filter and it also helps to reduce airborne germs like mold spores, fungus, bacteria, and viruses. In addition to capturing large particles like dust and hair, the activated carbon pre-filter also deodorizes the air and reduces common household odor caused by cooking, smoking or pets. Though, the Honeywell HPA 300 air purifier’s functionality lacks some key components, like impressive filters, and key features, like an air-quality sensor.

Filter selection is very important for this home air purifier to work properly. With the right air filters, it will offer great allergen removal and good odor reduction, but for it to properly control gas and odor problems, you have to buy a special pre-filter, because only one of the two pre-filters is designed for gas and odor removal, and it is more expensive.
The HPA 300 uses an activated Carbon Prefilter to reduce unpleasant odors and to capture airborne germs. The easy tap electronic controls, the air cleaning levels plus Turbo Clean setting and the 2, 4, and 8-hour timer make it a very efficient and easy to handle one.

Ease of use

The Honeywell HPA 300 has three air cleaning levels, so you can easily adjust the airflow through the filter, but it does not have an air-quality sensor that would automatically adjust these levels. It also has an operation timer which allows you to set it to work for 2, 4 or 8 hours and after each cycle, the air purifier will enter a sleep mode which allows you to save energy. The filter monitor lets you know when you have to change the filters, namely the included HEPA filters that need to be replaced one per year and the carbon pre-filter which must be replaced every 3 months for the device to work properly. It comes with a five-year warranty and a Honeywell professional support.
